The Aerogen Go uses vibration membrane technology to generate an aerosol (mist) from liquid medication, which is inhaled through a mouthpiece or face mask. (2)

Intended use

The Aerogen Go® Vibrating Mesh Nebuliser is designed for the nebulisation of approved medications for the treatment of respiratory conditions.

  • Only use medicines that have been prescribed for you by your doctor.

  • Keep the Aerogen Go out of the reach of children unless it is used by children under the constant supervision of adults.
  • Do not drop your Aerogen Go or knock it against any surface. This could cause damage and void the warranty.
  • The Aerogen Go should be cleaned after each use and disinfected at the end of each day. For more information, see the ‘Cleaning and Disinfection’ section in this user manual.

Inserting alkaline batteries

  • Unscrew the outer battery cover.

  • Open the inner battery cover.

  • Do not use multiple brands of batteries at the same time. Do not use old and new batteries at the same time. Replace all batteries at the same time.
  • If your Aerogen Go is likely to be stored for an extended period of time, remove the batteries and detach the medication container from the main unit.

Connecting to the power supply unit

Open the cover of the power supply connection and connect the power supply to this connection.

Plug the power supply into a suitable power outlet.

  • The Aerogen Go does not have a battery charging function.
  • Before using the power supply, remove the batteries from the main unit.
  • Do not touch the power supply with wet or damp hands, as this may result in electric shock.

Using the Aerogen Go®

Filling the medication

  • Connect the medication container to the main unit by pressing both parts together until you hear a click.

  • Turn the cap of the medication container counterclockwise to open it.

  • Fill the medication container with the recommended amount of medication according to your prescription.

  • Turn the cap of the medication container clockwise until it can no longer be turned to close it.

  • Before connecting, check that the silicone ring is correctly positioned on the main unit. After connecting, check that there is no gap between the two parts.
  • Do not touch the function membrane attached to the cap of the medication container (shown in light blue in the image above).
  • The minimum filling volume is 1 ml. Do not fill more than 10 ml, as indicated by the upper line on the side of the medication container.
  • Do not fill the medication container when it is not in use.

Inhalation therapy session

  • Connect either the mouthpiece or the mask to the medication container.

  • Pressing the on/off button starts the nebulisation process. When the green light is on, nebulisation has begun.

  • Sit upright and hold the Aerogen GO vertically. Breathe normally.

End of the inhalation session

When the medication is running low, the amount of aerosol decreases. Press the on/off button to switch off the device.
For safety reasons, the device switches off automatically after 10 minutes of nebulisation.

  • Do not cover the ventilation opening on the mouthpiece or mask.
  • Do not touch the inside of the aerosol opening, as this may damage the sensitive mesh mechanism inside.
  • Keep the main unit and power supply dry. If they get wet, stop using them immediately and wipe off the liquid.
  • If the device is not switched off at the end of the session, the nebuliser system may be damaged.

Cleaning and disinfection

Cleaning after each use

  • Remove the mouthpiece or mask and disconnect the medication container from the main unit by pressing the blue release button for the medication container on the back.

  • Dispose of any remaining liquid in the medication container.

  • Place the medication container, mouthpiece or mask in warm, filtered water with mild liquid washing-up liquid and shake a few times.

  • Rinse thoroughly with filtered water (from a bottle or tap). If stains remain after cleaning the parts, repeat steps 3 and 4.

  • Carefully shake off any excess water. Then leave to dry completely in the air on a clean, lint-free cloth. Once dry, place in the storage bag or another dry and clean container.

  • The main unit should not be washed. It can be wiped with a clean paper towel or cloth.
  • Ensure that the main unit or power supply does not come into contact with water or other liquids.
  • Do not use an oven, microwave or dishwasher to disinfect your Aerogen GO.
  • When handling the medication container, avoid touching the mesh inside the aerosol connection and the functional membrane on the cap.
